Sustainable Energy Design adheres to established procedures for measurement and verification (M&V) processes. These involve:
- Preparing a design report containing measures to reduce energy usage
- Providing clients with an estimate of the cost of implementing energy saving measures
- Providing clients with an estimate of likely cost savings after implementation of the energy saving measures
- Estimating the return on investment
- Implementing the energy saving measures
- Monitoring energy usage post-implementation (done by the client)
- Seeking client feedback on whether the forecast benefits were realised
